After 7 months of testing behind closed doors Google has finally opening up Google Knol to the public. This site is similar to Wixipedia, but with more of an emphasis on the author of the post. You the expert can write your own Knol on the area of your choice. You then have the option to allow other people to edit your Knol or just suggest edits that you would need to approve. You can even make it so no one can ever edit your Knol. Google is basically building an encyclopedia for all of the worlds information from the ground up and is making it possible for its users to profit from it as well.
